What is Sterling silver?

All Studio Collect jewelry is made of Sterling silver, apart from our Eighteen Carat, Engagement and Wedding collection, unless otherwise stated. Sterling silver means that 92,5% of this alloy consists of fine (pure) silver, and 7,5% of other metals (usually copper). The 7,5% of other metals are necessary to make the alloy strong enough. Sterling silver 925 is commonly used for jewelry. All Studio Collect jewelry is nickel free.

What is gold-plated silver?

The base of Studio Collects gold-plated silver jewelry is Sterling silver, which is coated with a layer of 18 carat yellow gold by means of galvanization. The thickness of this layer is expressed in microns. Studio Collects rings are plated with a layer of 5 micron, bracelets with 3 micron, necklaces and earrings are covered with 1 micron of 18 carat gold. All Studio Collect jewelry is nickel free. Over time, depending on use, care and skin type, the gold layer may fade away. We provide a gold-plating service to restore your beloved items. What is 18 carat gold?

Pure gold is 24 carat, but since this is far too soft for jewelry, it is mixed with other metals to make it stronger. In 18 carat gold, 18 out of 24 parts are fine (pure) gold and the rest is a mix of other metals. You can also put it this way: the alloy of 18 carat gold consists of 75% pure gold and 25% of other metals (palladium, silver or copper), depending on the color you’re after; white, yellow or rosé gold. All our jewelry is nickel free. Our Eighteen Carat, Engagement and Wedding collection are made of 18 carat gold.

What is the best way to clean my jewelry?

Silver may require cleaning from time to time. With some simple, basic care, you can help preserve and protect your beloved items for years to come. As silver jewelry interacts with air, light, water and your skin, it might oxidize. Don’t worry if it does: you can easily remove light oxidation stains with a soft cleaning cloth, or silver dip, you can also use a mild detergent to get rid of dirt. Gold is a precious metal that doesn’t oxidize, but it might get dirty with daily use. You can simply clean it with a soft cleaning cloth, or warm water and a mild detergent.

How can I best protect my gold-plated jewelry?

Clean your gold-plated jewelry with a soft cloth, never use aggressive products that might damage the layer of gold your jewel is covered with. To make sure the layer of gold lasts a long time: do not wear it while taking a shower, washing your hands, swimming, doing the dishes, etc. Avoid contact with cosmetics and cleaning products, as these may damage the layer.

How can I restore my gold-plated jewelry?

Over time, depending on use, care and skin type, the gold layer may fade away. We provide a gold-plating service to restore your beloved items. For extra information or questions about this service feel free to contact us. We are happy to help you.

Where do I best store my jewelry?

Once cleaned and polished, silver and gold must be kept dry and properly stored. Keep away from damp rooms, cosmetics and cleaning products. Did you know that our packaging can be used to store your jewelry when you are not wearing it? Easy does it.



Ship and Return
How long does it take to ship my order?

Your order will be processed and shipped within 48 hours, during business days. It usually takes between 2 and 3 business days for deliveries within Belgium and between 3 and 7 business days to other destinations in Europe. International delivery times vary depending on the country of destination.

Custom duties and fees vary by country and may cause a delay on the delivery time. All custom duties and fees are at the customer’s expense. We cannot be held responsible for extra costs and / or delays.

Can I track my package?

You will always receive a tracking number once your order has been shipped, so you can easily trace it at all times. Depending on the country of destination, we work with bpost, bpost world, DPD or DHL.

How much is the shipping cost in Belgium and The Netherlands?

Shipping within Belgium and to The Netherlands is free of charge on all orders over €75. However, all returns and extra shipments are at the customer’s expense. For these extra shipments, the charged fee is €8 for Belgium and €10 for The Netherlands.

How much is the cost for international shipments?

The price for international shipments varies between €10 and €50 depending on the location it needs to be shipped to. To find out the exact price, please fill in the country of your choice while going through checkout and our web shop will automatically calculate the right shipping fee.

Studio Collect cannot be held responsible for any damage to the package or loss of the package, during the shipment.

How do I return my item(s) that I bought online?

Exchanges, returns and refunds are allowed within 14 days after you have received the package. Before sending the item(s) back, please contact us by email to arrange the exchange, return or refund.

The piece(s) must be unworn, undamaged and again sellable, send it back in its original packaging. We are not responsible for any additional costs. Try it/them on with care.

How do I return my item(s) that I bought in the store?

How do I return my item(s) that I bought in the store? Items purchased in our store (Steenhouwersvest 13, 2000 Antwerp, Belgium) can be returned or exchanged in our store, and refunded in the form of a gift voucher, within 14 days after the purchase date.

The piece(s) must be unworn, undamaged and again sellable, return in its original packaging. Try it/them on with care.

What if I can't return the item(s) to the store?

If you are unable to come to our store and wish to arrange an exchange or return, please contact us by email.



Gift Vouchers
Can I buy a gift voucher online?

Gift vouchers can be purchased through our website. When you buy a gift voucher online, you can choose from our fixed value vouchers and a digital version will be sent to you by email. Each voucher has a unique code, which can be entered at the checkout when ordering online and the amount will be automatically deducted.

What happens to money left on gift vouchers?

If you have a remaining balance on a gift voucher, the remaining amount will stay available and can be used for a next purchase.

Does my gift voucher expire?

Studio Collect gift vouchers do not carry an expiration date. Please do keep in mind that gift vouchers cannot be returned, cancelled or exchanged for cash or any other form of payment.

Can I use my digital gift voucher in your brick and mortar store?

Yes, you can. When you want to use your digital voucher in our store, simply show us the email and we’ll do the rest.

I bought a paper gift voucher in your brick and mortar store. Can I use it online?

When you buy a gift voucher in our store, you will receive a beautifully wrapped paper voucher with a unique code. You can decide the value of the voucher yourself, as these ones do not have fixed values to choose from. This paper version can also be used online. Simply enter the code at the checkout and the amount will be automatically deducted. If the item you wish to purchase has a lower price than the value of the voucher, the remaining amount will stay available and can be used for a next purchase with the same code. If you wish to purchase an item in our store, simply hand over the voucher and we’ll do the rest.
